I bought an external antenna and adaptor for our Samsung phone (Sprint 
PCS) that helps a lot in marginal areas. (there's LOTS of those with 
digital systems!) Haven't yet installed a steel plate on the roof of the 
trailer to use it there, but may, "one of these days".

The adaptor is neat, it just kinda clips around the antenna on the 
handheld phone.
