Airstream has designed the trailers to keep you
reasonablely comfortable at zero degrees. Obviously
some cold will radiated from interior sheetmetal,
which requires warm clothing. The heating thermostat
should never be set below 55 degrees, to be safe when
there is a hard freeze. Putting heat tape on the water
hose and letting the water slowing run from the galley
faucet, will protect freeze ups, to lower than zero
degrees.
When traveling in freezing temperatures, because of
the chill factor, a 55 degree thermostat setting has
been deemed adequate, by Airstream.
In freezing weather, the heat strip from the
airconditioner, or the heat from a catalytic heater,
or from a electric heater, will not provide any
"circulated" heat which is required to keep the
interior water lines warm. Only the furnace can do
that. It's ok to augment the furnace heat, to some
degree, with other sources, but the furnace, must
run to insure no freeze up. 
If the cost of propane is a factor, then the trailer
should be winterized and not used, or used, but
without any water.
