Re: [A/S] What can/will happen?

When I bought my trailer I looked and could not find the square plates,
luckily I moved it only 1/2 mile to the other end of same campground. It was
buried 6" in the ground when I bought it and we had to jack it out to move
it. after moving I jacked it up to check the brakes and bearings and in
crawling around to check jack location I found the square al tags. They were
approx. 3 feet behind my dual axle and I was looking closer to axle.

The axle is attached to the Main chassis channel at a mounting plate that
looks like 1/4 steel hanging down (can't see main channel) one end of the
shock is attached to this and other end of shock is attached to axle
assembly, axle is bolted to this frame.
The bottom is covered with aluminum and is fastened to this main channel as
is the banana wrap that curves up to the side.
Location of main channel should be on this seam and you should be able to
follow back to bumper attachment.
Caution is the word make sure you are on the channel before jacking. If in
doubt jack at the wheel where frame is easier to locate!
I jack at the spot AIRSTREAM has put a 2" sq. pad and put a jackstand at the
wheel.
