igorlb3131 :Les in Bend Oregon     YES the doors open outward and are not like bus 
doors.    I have an 11 wide drive for my trailer (and for visiting A/S as courtesy 
parking........an A/S    MH backed in as close to the fence as possible leaving  as 
room as possible on the door side cannot back the door beyond the front of the carport 
awning....trying to open the door which automatically extends the steps is folly   
since the steps jam and the door will only open part way......MH's are wider than A/S 
trailer.   I have had 3 A/S trailers in the trailer drive at the same time (96')
long drive and all can open their doors ....part of the problem with MH doors is that 
they are higher off the ground and thus hit the carport roof.     Just had a Cutter in 
there last week and it had to protrude out in front of my front building line so that 
the door was in front of the carport.     Pearl in SoCal
