Jim,
When i stay in the trailer i crack a roof vent open for a couple of hours 
and my window and door weather stripping is old and dryed out
so i'm getting some extra venting. when i'm not there it's no problem.
Do you have a humidity guage? mine has been at at 50% except when it 
rains... i have some leaks that havn't been tended to.Before the wood rots 
i'm concerned about fighting the mold!! I don't stay in the unit long enough 
to build up the moisture. Last night the electric heater was on hi and at 
midnight the interior temp was at approx 55 outside temp was 28. i lit the 
furnace. Are you living full time in yours????? where are you located????  
my windows are like yours try unlocking them
and putting a thin object in push the window just off the seal a fraction. 
when i got my unit home and was ck'ing it out there were all these twigs and 
sticks in the window frames. After i had the trailer about six- eight months 
did it dawn on me what these were for. In the
70's energy crisis i remember a comment that a poorly weather stripped 
window or door was like having a 3-4 sq in hole in the wall!!!!
I used to be concerned about getting my house really sealed up and save on 
my heat bill... but i stopped that when i saw the carbon monoxide
levels rise and felt sick... now i don't have everything sealed up as
tight and pay a little more over the winter for utilities but my home smells 
fresher and my alleriges don't get triggerred as much.
(possibly the story "Hiedi" wasn't just a story after all).
I have a friend that always burns a candle/lantern on his boat.
He claims that it keeps the air currents moving and carries the moisture 
away. i've tried the same, with a candle in the sink and open a ceiling vent 
a 1/2 turn off the gasket it seems to keep the moist air moving and freshen 
things up a little. the wife likes it because candles are so popular 
again..... be good Steve
