Hi James, 

You could always install an aluminum awning over that window for those times
when you are parked and it's raining. That could mean you'd have a leak only
when the rain comes at your rig sideways. Hopefully, there is no leaking
along the vertical part of the window (upper or lower half).

When you feel the gasket along the top, does it have any flexibility? If
it's tight and firm, then the natural twisting and giggling of the chassis
while driving may be opening and closing a tiny space between the window and
gasket.  Whereas, if the gasket is flexible, that could solve it. Again -
this is mere conjecture and not based on my direct experience.

As for stopping the leak while driving in the rain on the Interstate, that's
another story. The back draft on your back window can be tough to deal with
if there's even the slightest opening and/or any variation in air pressure
(less inside the trailer).

One of my earlier experiences with trailers included that feature. I finally
solved it by installing Lindeen covers over the ceiling vents and leaving
the vents open while driving in the rain.  That wasn't really a "fix." It
was a "work around"  that cost me more money than finding a real fix. The
other fringe benefits of the Lindeen covers were the real reasons I bought
them, i.e. impervious to hail damage and never needing to be concerned about
rain while away from the Airstream with the vents open.

Don't you just love elusive solutions? They are better than a crossword
puzzle.
