Re: [A/S] Cell phone internet hookups
We have a similar plan. Our coverage for the "free min" includes any nation
wide calls from our home location area. Verizon has 3 plans servicing our
area that you could conceder home location. One that includes S.E. PA, some
of NJ and Delaware. Another covers Maine to S. Carolina. And one that is
nationwide. Each priced accordingly. Each includes nationwide long distance
from their perspective areas. We have the Maine to S. Carolina plan that cost
$35 month. We have used it so far from New York to Va. called long distance
to points out of our home location. When we started using it, the phone
screen said we were being accessed roaming charges. I called Verizon 2 times
to make sure I hadn't misunderstood the pricing. I was told the calls I made
were included in my plan. I have received 2 bills so far every call in or out
is logged on the bill and except for taxes the only charge is the $35.
One tip I learned from a Verizon employee, If you want to upgrade your plan
before your contract is up insist on an upgrade not a new plan. If you sign
up for a new plan you will be charged for the early disconnect fee $175.00
plus the $30 activation fee for the new plan.
