The external one probably wouldn't work with your laptop screen since there
normally isn't a way to connect an alternate video source to a laptop
screen; the laptop screen is normally dedicated to the laptop.  You wouldn't
be able to use the PCI card either since that requires an available PCI slot
and unlsee you have a docking station that has PCI slots it wouldn't be a
good solution.  That said, there is a USB version TV Tuner that should word
with a laptop screen, here's a link to one as an example:
