[A/S] Almost Crazy...

Well folks- thanks for all the great responses. I love seeing 
where this topic has wandered off to. Firesign Theatre and 
Tuna's monicker...

I drove the 4 hours back to the family camp and lookd at the 
Globe Trotter again with my stepfather and his critical eye. After 
all, he was the guy I had to charm into towing GT to the family 
farm for storage and a place to start thinking about repairs. He 
agreed that it was in pretty good shape (aside from the tree 
damage) but had to have new tires before he'd tow it 100 miles. 

I'll call the seller tomorrow and se if we can negotiate 
something- either HIM towing it, or knocking of some bucks for 
the tires. OR- I further charm stepdad into towing it as far as our 
camp (10 miles) and parking it there for a place to stay while they 
replace the camp's roof and install interior plumbing next spring.

Alert! Creepy moment of synchronicty ahead... My mother, in her 
motherly way, asked what I'd name her. I responded, "Bertha. 
She has berths." Upon second view of GT, I was digging around 
in a cupboard and found a glass drugstore vial containing 
replacement bulbs. When I looked at  the label, it read "Bertha 
Smith"! (last name changed to protect the innocent)! IS THAT A 
SIGN OR WHAT!?
