I understand what you are saying, except that the hitch reciever isn't 
substandard. I agree you could save money by buying the truck ala carte... 
but if the truck is already on the lot it's going to have the receiver if it 
has the tow package and I think most of the Super Dutys do have the pacakge. 
I would bet all the ones with the V10 or the powerstroke have it.
