Charlie,

I heard that you don't want to use auto wash products
since they have a petroleum base which will dry out
the clear coat and cause cracking.  I use Turtle Wax
Zip car wash on my auto and I know it will remove
fresh oil and tar splashes on the car surface.  

Now I'm really confused.  Is your recommendation for
the the newer Alcoa treated aluminum that A/S uses
today?  Up till now I've been using Dawn dish soap.
