Leon, when I had my ' 73 Sovereign, I ordered a ' 78 E-250 van set up for
towing including the 7.5 engine, a  3.73 differential and an auxiliary fuel
tank and change over switch. That gave me 40 gallons of fuel capacity which
was sometimes useful with 10-12 MPG fuel use depending on the terrain I was
towing in. In that era, mid to late-' 70s, a lot of after market auxiliary
fuel tanks were available. I don't know about availability now but I would
imagine somebody is still making and selling them.
