Re: [A/S] Motorhome vs Trailer thread
One really great thing I like about my '97 2500HD Dodge (regular cab
pickup, 8-ft bed) is the turning radius. I can turn it around on a
conventional 2-lane highway in a simple continuous U turn with the trailer
attached. This has saved my bacon more than once after finding I was
approaching a dead end or had made a wrong turn.
My trailer hitch will _just_ _barely_ clear everything with the steering
wheel at full turn, and this really comes in handy sometimes.
A friend has a '83 31 ft AS MH that almost takes a 40 acre field to turn! I
have seem him have to back and re-try a simple right turn on a narrow street.
