     I have the Trailer Life campground directory on CD, and while 
it's definitely clumsy, it's far from the worst I've seen.  I also 
have the Delorme Street Atlas *and* their AAA Map'N'Go; they work 
just fine for me. I *like* being able to force vias and/or stops.  
Every piece of *mapping* software I've ever seen gives you some 
packaged choices, like scenic, or shortest, or quickest.  Rarely does 
of these allow you to alter their routes without breaking the trip up 
in steps.
     I once bought the Rand McNally Tripmaker, but it could not 
locate my son's home in Columbus, Ohio, nor did it have the part of 
town - there for at least 8 years - on its maps.  I sent it back; so 
I don't know how "friendly" it is.  I'll probably get another copy 
next year, however, just to have more choices.
     The online mapping software sites like MapBlast and MapQuest do 
a good job for finding routes around Atlanta and for trip planning 
generally, but are not as useful for travellers, like those on this 
list.
