I have a 1996 Airstream and the plasticoat has began coming off 
slowly. I've noticed that when I wash it it is very easy to put 
scratches in the places where the plasticoat has peeled. The 
plasticoat has come off in stages and I've noticed that the areas 
exposed from one stage have a different color than from another 
stage. Is there any remedy for this? Maybe an aluminum polish that 
could be applied by hand?
