Some of the SAM's Club stores are selling inverters very inexpensively. I 
have seen 350 watt and 400 watt inverters there recently in the $30 - $35 
range. I got one of the 350 ones and it is a nice unit. It would probably 
be perfectly adequate to power your charger. It comes with a cigar lighter 
power plug in addition to more substantial direct-battery connecting leads, 
so you have several connection options. There is a good chance you could 
just plug it into your dashboard socket and go with that.

Look in the automobile hardware section. You could pay more, but you 
probably won't get a better unit in this wattage class. From what I have 
seen, this price is only about half what most retailers charge for similar 
inverters.
