We fabricate an 1 1/2" channel that is attached to the existing 
opening, then install the patch plate with olympic rivets, then 
another series of channel around the opening for the new heater, 
gives alot of support. I strap the heater from the inside accross the 
top to the floor on either side. As an added item I will build a 3 
lipped pan to set the heater on, if there was a leak it would 
hopefully run outside the coach.
