No, the circut for your truck brake lights won't power
your electric brakes. The Ford, if it has a trailer
towing package should have come with 2 relays 1 30 amp
maxi-fuse and a 4 wire harness for the brake
controller. The relays go in a small box to the right
of the fuse block under the hood, the fuse in the fuse
panel for your charge line and the harness hooks to an
electric brake control, (they're all basically the
same) under your dash, remove the panel above your
kness, to the right by the metal dash support, is a
mating plug for the supplied harness, plug it in,
reinstall the panel, mount the brake control and
viola!
Season to taste and you're ready to go.
