This made me curious so I clicked on egroups (bookmark) in favorite places 
and was able to go right to My Groups. Recently I cleaned out the 100s of 
cookies on my system but was very careful not to delete any that mentioned 
Yahoo. I was afraid I'd be in the same boat you are, Jim and George. I think 
the cookies are what let a person open Yahoo groups directly without signing 
in with a password. I'd be up a creek without a 'password' if I had to use it 
now.

What really doesn't make any sense is 'them' telling you that you are not a 
member and yet won't let you sign on as a new member. Good old Catch-22.
