Shouldn't be too much of a problem, unless the mounting points are 
questionable, IE. the shackle ears for mounting the leafs are still 
sturdy.

I did a similar job on a Snowmobile trailer.   The only dimensions are 
the distance between the mount points on the frame.  You may also want 
to measure the length between the holes for the shackles
plates (top to bottom), this will be important for building the 
appropriate spring pre-load, so as not to extend the springs too far 
beyond the shackle mount points on the frame.  One other dimension
will be the width of the spring leafs (side to side). This can be 
accommodated for to some extent by increasing/decreasing the width 
between the shackle plates by bending them, it would require a
beefier material to be used for the plates because of the compromised 
strength related to the bending of the plates.

You may also want to think about raising the trailer height at this 
time, I for one, would appreciate a taller riding trailer in our 
instance '73 - 31'. But the look is not true to doing a rehab
operation. In your case this may be more of a factor.

Any spring specialist should be able to build you a set of springs to 
your spec's.  Be care not to over build too much (as I tend to do) or 
your trailer may ride worse (stiffer) than desired.  The
spring maker may be able to work within certain loading ranges.  You 
also may want to bring any old springs (if available) that the builder 
could start from. For instance, Here these are the old
springs, I would like another 1000 lb's of load capacity.
