I would probably disagree with that person's analysis.
Any air movement that you can get past those coils is
better than no movement at all.  Especially when the
fan is blowing up through the compartment. 

Based on his analysis my little Fridgemate fan that I
have inside my refrigerator would be useless.  That
tiny amount of air circulation makes a diffence in the
inside cooling of my refrigerated food.

Any air movement past those coils will improve
effeciency of your refrigerator.  How much?  Obviously
when the wind is blowing the improvement will be less
than when you are in a breezeless situation.

While I don't have one of these units, I think they
are worthwhile and from what I have seen on this list,
many people sing the praises of these fans.
