Shiny aluminum, or even dulled aluminum will reflect sun and radiant
heat better than white. Unless your trailer is covered with bird poop or
tree sap, clean aluminum is just fine.

I have a suspicion that the white top is there because the newer
formulas for the clear coat are not all that good at living up there in
full sunlight...the top is where it seems to go first.
