[A/S] A/C left lots of holes

I removed my original armstrong A/C from my '71 Safari to put on my new
duotherm penquin.

When I did, I had to drill out about 100 standard rivets that the old a/c
used for mounting.

Since the newer model will not use these. what is a good way to seal them
up from the weather before I put on the new penquin?

Can I use standard aluminum rivets with vulkem on each one, or do I have to
use olympic rivets? Or some other method?

Thanks for your help.
