[A/S] Window

Yea, the new unit has had it's first repair already.

Friday,  27 July, my wife was out messing around in the A/S and thought that
there were funny sounds around.  Upon looking more, she found the roadside
bedroom window laying is "diamonds" on the ground outside.  Some were about
4 ft from the trailer.  After cleaning up the mess and making it somewhat
where water could not get inside, called Walt's in Ocala.  Walt was gone and
would not be back until this last Thursday.  Could not wait, so call
Airstream.  Found out that we cannot order direct from them.  That is when I
found that C&G was still doing business.  Called them, and got window.

Sit down folks.  The new glass only window
cost............................$300.

I don't know if it was a manufacture defect, or it just got too hot.  Temps
were running in the upper 90's with heat index in the low 100's.  Didn't
even know that the A/S could be sealed that good, either.

Well, you know as much as I do now, except that the window DID come with all
the mounting hardware already installed so it was easier than I thought to
replace.
