I could find no access to the coax from the clothes hamper inside my  '86
32' Excella.  When my coax became disconnected somewhere inside the wall
(for whatever reason), the Airstream dealer in Texas told me that fixing it
would be cost prohibitive in comparison to installing a new connector and
routing it for easy access to the tv set.  That's what I did.

It took one trip to Radio Shack for parts and tools, then an afternoon to
actually do it.  I cut a 6" piece of coax, installed a connector on one end,
drilled into the outside wall behind the counter where the tv is located,
routed the coax into the trailer, installed a connector on the other end,
secured it to the inside wall and that was it.

Only someone who knows Airstreams would realize this wasn't a factory
installation -IF - they even noticed it. On the outside connector, I used an
aluminum spin on cap (similar to those on auto tire valves) to cover the
coax connector and keep it clean inside the connector when not hooked up to
cable or satellite tv.

Fortunately, the coax connection for the bedroom tv was intact, so nothing
had to be done to restore it.  If it had not been intact, I'd have done the
same thing, except for routing it differently (perhaps locating the new
connector adjacent to the outside compartment door so I could more easily
reach the coax as I routed it up into and behind the wardrobe drawers) .
Or, differently, if a better option was apparent once I got into it.

This possibility is only one of many. It's your call.
