Bobb,

Most riding mowers are belt drive and not capable of supporting the tongue
weight or moving a heavy A/S.  The belt will slip on the pulleys if you try
to move a heavy load.  I once added a ball to the rear of one of the larger,
twin-cylinder mowing tractors and it would satisfactorily move a 17' boat on
the trailer, but only on a relatively flat concrete driveway.
