I use my laptop with a 3COM cell modem, a Nokia 6162 phone, and an NOK6 cable 
(from the modem to the phone.

It only gets me on at 4800bps... ok for email, forget about surfing the net 
or downloading files or photos.

I'm in Crossville, TN now, at the Airstream co-op Park, the host told me 
something I didn't realize.... you can download email with pocketmail... 
then, thru a cable, put the email into your computer....... I'll be getting 
pocketmail.

When you are fulltiming you will learn that most campgrounds have email 
access.... Escapees parks have separate lines .... at worst you may have to 
ask to use an office phone.
Most Airstream, if not all, parks have an email line.....
