[A/S] 62 Tradewind Tires

Al,

The answer, assuming both fit within the wheel wells, is whichever you
prefer. There are proponents of each on the list and both are correct. Old
A/Ss like your '62, were equipped with 700x15 6 ply or 8ply (LRC or LRD)
bias ply tires. Later A/Ss were equipped with 225R75x15 LRC or LRD.
Radials are supposed to offer less rolling resistance and better traction,
and will usually wear longer. Bias ply tires look original, have tougher
side walls which make them more resistant to sidewall damage from stones,
etc. For an automobile, there is no question that radial ties perform and
last longer. On a trailer, either will work satisfactorily.
