[A/S] A/S CHECKLIST [LONG]

HOOKING UP TO TRAVEL
Turn off Gas Bottles
Turn off heater
Turn off hot water
Turn off reefer
Turn on 12V switch in front of couch
Turn on converter switch on wall behind curbside front curtains
Disconnect all land lines
Raise both rear stabilizers
Lift lever on hitch on A-frame to open it
Leave wheel chocks in until last minute or the trailer will run away 
on you.
Raise trailer with tongue jack
Back TRUCK so BALL is under HITCH
Lower TRAILER until BALL is completely into hitch
Flip Lever on hitch to lock it, and put in safety pin
Now raise TRUCK & TRAILER with the tongue jack
Install LOAD LEVELERS
Use SECOND LINK
Make sure safety clips are in place
Lower TRUCK AND TRAILER with tongue jack
RAISE JACK COMPLETELY OUT OF THE WAY
Hook up safety chains to cross under hitch
Install brake breakaway
Install main electric connection
Open clean water drain valves to travel light. all 5 of them!
WALK AROUND, AND DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING
TV antenna down
Storage doors closed
Chocks stored
Stabilizers up
Door locked
Windows closed
Front ceiling vent can be open
Rear ceiling vent should be closed
All dis-connections unhooked
All hitch stuff connected
Tires inflated
50 PSI in trailer, Air Pressure Gage over driver's visor
35 PSI in truck
Battery Powered Compressor in Truck bed, In canvas book bag.










UN HOOKING TO STAY AWHILE
hand on bottom of wheel, back of trailer moves the same direction the 
hand does.
CHECK LOCATION OF CAMP'S CONNECTIONS
Move the picnic table if you have to
after you are in position
Level trailer left to right, levels are in rack just inside door
Put CHOCKS into position NOW, or trailer can take off down hill
LOWER JACK ONTO WOOD BLOCKS
RAISE  TRUCK AND TRAILER with tongue jack
DISCONNECT LOAD LEVELERS
Lower truck/trailer with jack to unhitch under no pressure
Raise TRUCK until hitch disconnects
UNHOOK main electric connection
DISCONNECT brake breakaway
UNHOOK safety chains
Move truck out from under
Remove hitch from receiver, and store it
Level unit front to back using the Tongue Jack
lower both rear stabilizers
CHECK ELECTRIC connection WITH YELLOW CIRCUIT CHECKER
Turn OFF power switches in Camp's Box, while you plug electric in
Connect all land lines, water, electric, sewer
Leave sewer valves closed until you have a lot to dump
If you open them while using facilities, you create a black pyramid 
in tank.

WATER CONNECTION STARTING FROM CAMP'S FAUCET
1. SHORT HOSE
2. FILTER
3. WHITE HOSES
4. TO CONNECTION BY LEFT REAR BUMPER
5. ALL six [6] DRAIN VALVES CLOSED
6. ONE BETWEEN WHEELS ON CURBSIDE
7. ONE INSIDE ROADSIDE STORAGE COMPARTMENT
8. TWO VALVE DRAINS BETWEEN CURBSIDE WHEELS
9. POSSIBLE two HOT WATER TANK VALVES [PRESSURE AND DRAIN]
IF YOU USE THE CONNECTION TO THE CAMP'S WATER DON'T TURN ON THE PUMP, 
you won't need it
If you need to use on board water, the fill valve is on the CurbSide, 
locked behind a small door
If you need to fill the onboard tank, there is a short clear nozzle 
inside a square bucket, rear compartment inside on left


STINKY SLINKY OPERATION
NOTHING GOES INTO THE TOILET UNLESS YOU ATE IT FIRST!!! Special RV 
Toilet paper exempted
shit drain hose is in the black tube on the rear bumper
you need to install end connectors to it before you can use it
adapters to the trailer's valve is in a square white bucket
gloves are in the same bucket
black plastic adapter connects clear plastic elbow to the trailer
clear plastic 90^ bend connects to adapter, which connects to slinky
anti backflow device connects pink hose to clear plastic 90^ trailer 
connection
pink water hose for flushing thru clear plastic connector
red 90^ elbow and rubber donut connect slinky to the hole in the 
ground
after emptying, put about five gallons of water, and about 3 oz of 
enzymes in thru toilet
Black tank needs water in it to keep dissolving the shit and special 
toilet paper
after dumping nasty stuff, open faucets and all five clean water 
drain valves, and travel with them open

We are lending our A/S safari to our inexperienced son-in-law and 
daughter, and we've created a checklist to help them. 
Do y'all have any suggestions?



STARTUP IN CAMP
Close all the drain valves possibly six of them
Fill hot water tank if you plan to use hot water
from Camp Hookup, just open a hot water valve inside, and wait till 
you get no air
From Self contained water, turn on the pump, switch over sink, and 
open a hot water valve
Open gas bottles, check valve for green showing
Reefer likes the trailer comfortably level
Start refrigerator on electric, or automatic, if check light comes 
on, shut off and wait, then try again
Start switch for hot water is in the bathroom, on the wall above basin
push the button, and the red light will briefly light up
if the red light comes on for a while, shut the switch and wait a few 
minutes. There may be air in the gas lines
Run faucets till air is all out
Don't need to connect sewage until ready to dump
