Re: [A/S] Airstream Pullers

Tom,
 You betcha!

As Harvey says, it really isn't all that bad in the cab, especially at
road speeds. Mine is exceptionally noisy because of its being a 1994
(new ones are much quieter) and there's no muffler, just the cat.

I've had Diesel-powered equipment for years, including a half-dozen VW
Diesels, so am obviously in love with them. A friend, however, says that
he doesn't like an engine that sounds like it's tearing itself apart. Go
figure.

One other thing I like about my truck is the way it starts: just bump
the key to the 'start' position and it's running. The 3204 Caterpillar
in my last trencher was like that, as was one of my VWs. My buddy's
Ford, OTOH, has to crank for a second or 2 before it lights off.

                                               <<Jim>>
