Only you can answer that one. Here are several examples from experiences
friends of ours have had - and the reasons that prompted them to care.

We have traveled with friends whose trailer weighed more than their tires
were rated to carry. That was a no brainer and they cared enough to change
to higher rated tires.

We have traveled with friends whose trailer weighed more than the factory
tag said their trailer could carry. Their A frame broke because they carried
too much stuff. After they had the A frame repaired, they cared enough about
that so they now carry less stuff.

We have traveled with friends whose trailer weighed more on one side than on
the other side, resulting in tire problems on that side. They cared enough
about that to redistribute the heavy items and equalize the weight being
carried by tires on each side.

I'm sure there are other reasons why people care about the weight of their
trailer. Perhaps one of these will spark your interest.

PS - Thanks for the assistance of your friend in helping me sort out
differences among new and newer computers. Later this month, I'm buying
another laptop and will be off line until I get everything reorganized.
