Correct awning size is defined by the length of the side sheet. With the 
exception of the some shorter models with water heaters and the like 
directly on the seam. Exact awning length is the distance from the front 
edge of the side sheet to the rear edge. The measurement normally does 
not come out to an
even number. We often order Zip Dee's measured to the 1/4 inch. Using 
another brand cut to the nearest foot will make installation difficult. 
Of course if you choose to install a box or bag awning that does not 
have permanent vertical hardware some of the problems can be avoided.
