I had a solar hot water unit on my house for some years, and it worked OK.
At least until a hard freeze ruptured some solder joints, and then the thing
leaked all over the place.

The panels required absolute rigidity in their mounting, so I don't think
they would be suitable for use in a trailer/RV.  Too much flex there.
