[A/S] Still in need of electrical advice

Would like to rewire a 68 Ambassador.   Out with the Aluminum and in with
copper.   Has any on attempted it and been able to complete the job without
wrecking the insulation and generally tearing out the walls?  Or can someone
provide me with a lead as to were I can go to find out about the steps
involved?   I'd like to be able to rest easy with good wiring, as in south
Louisiana, NOT running the AC all night is NOT an option.   Hubby is an
HVAC/Elec mechanic but has never tackeled an RV.
