Hi Daisy. We have a hanging lamp in that area. There is a 110 volt 
outlet at that end of the trailer that we have it plugged in to. This 
has work fine & haven't had any problems. The lamp is a very lite 
weight lamp. It only hangs down maybe a foot, so there isn't much 
distance for it to swing.
