I bought an adapter that lives permanently attached to the Thetford.  The 
adapter lets you install all the generic brands of other fittings, including 
the cap that has the little place to attach a garden hose for those 
occasional times when you want to leave the grey tank open.

You can get the adapter for under $5.00.
