I have the same problem. About 8 years ago some one broke in to our 
A/S. They just about tore the door off getting in. So AAA insurance 
paid to replace the door. The new door has never worked as well as 
the org one did & that shade quit working with in a year. I have had 
other A/S people tell me the same thing Charlie said. I guess I'll 
just have to do it some day. I guess it will require a new shade. I 
wonder if those shades are the same ones as you buy at a hardware 
store?
