I really liked the Pelican Point RV park, at the south end of Half Moon Bay.
Not exactly 'downtown', but the park owners and residents (long-term rv
parking) were very kind. Some parks frown on heavy maintenance work going on
next door, but a little consideration goes a long way. Other alternatives
might be indoor or outdoor rv storage lots, but they may not allow the
restoration work on site. There are a couple of these in the Menlo
Park/Redwood City area.
