[A/S] DC Battery Specialists - Wholesale Batteries

Leroy, Verna and other Listees,

I've got some pretty good batteries that don't require any servicing as
well. They are designed to last a long time. They are AGM (absorbed glass
mat), type Lifeline (brand) batteries.

While they cost about $160 each for a size 27, you won't be replacing these
every 2-3 years. More like every 10/15+ years. The comparison chart (at
the website)suggests that at a 50% discharge/charge you'll get 450+/- cycles
out of a gel type battery where in the AGM you'll get more than twice as
much life. If you figure that you discharge only about 30% of your battery
capacity, (and that depends on your capacity/usage, etc.), you'll get 3000
charges out of the Lifeline AGMs.
A solar system with 3-75 watt panels along with a alternator charger system
while underway on the road and a (non-Univolt) converter/charger from the 30
amp plug will keep these 4 batteries up to snuff quite well.

An additional benefit to the AGMs is the fact that there is little discharge
of fumes, therefore they can be stored and wired under galley seats, etc.

If you go to the website http://www.dcbattery.com/index.html and click on
Lifeline, you can see all the graphs there.

terms.

I purchased ours on recommendations and evaluations of lots of information.
A little homework can save some $ and a lot of aggravation at inopportune
times.

Good Luck!
