Hunter,
I have a Ducane barbeque grill with a stainless steel
base.  I use WD40 on it and it really brightens it up.
 Unfortunately it does not hold up for long and any
beauty it gives has limited life.  I'm not sure what
kind of protection if any it would give.  Probably not
what I want on my new A/S.
