Todd,
 My '68 G.T. had 300 ohm twinlead from the front antenna locaction to a
socket on the control panel above the 'fridge. When I replaced the
antenna with a modern amplified unit, I used the co-ax from the radio
antenna as a pull wire to fish the new TV co-ax into the front overhead
compartment. Routed it from there to the side overhead storage
compartment, where I installed the amplifier, a jack, and a power switch
for the amplifier. The co-ax was routed "in the open" for about 4"
between the 2 cabinets.

The Avion had an old-fashioned antenna with twinlead going to 3 jacks in
the trailer. When we installed a WineGard amplified antenna, we put a
new hole in the roof to route the co-ax into a closet inside the
trailer. From there, the cable runs into the overhead cabinets above the
sink and stove to the amplifier/jack/switch assy., which I mounted on
the end of the cabinet. All of the original jacks are now abandoned; the
new one is near the one in the "living" space, the other 2 are near the
foot of each bed. There's no place to set the TV in the bed area, and we
don't watch TV in bed anyway, so it was no loss.

You probably cannot fish the cable with your "give it a good yank"
method, as the cable will be routed all over the place, through holes in
the ribs, etc.
