RE: [A/S] radial or bias?

It is my experience that the differences between the radial and bias tires
is: radial tires give a softer ride than bias. The main concern is safety,
in a car or trailer, if you have a problem "blowout" on the highway with a
radial, you are almost instantly on the rim of the car or trailer. With
bias, particular 6 or 8 ply, you usually can run on the deflated bias tire
until you can stop. I have experienced this and use 8 ply bias (expensive)
on my 3/4 ton Suburban, but with the highways littered with rocks, angle
iron and even 4 X 4 pieces at 70 mph, safety is paramount.
