Pull, push, or drag your trailer with your teeth to Tom Griffith.  He is as
honest as the day is long and a real craftsman.  When I was shopping for my
first Airstream I called around and asked some owners where they got service
and if they were satisfied.  Without exception his name came up as the place
to go if you want it done right.  One person told me he thought Tom was
probably the best sheet metal man in the southwest.

More to the point I have personally had Tom work on my 1972 23foot Safari.
One of the things that needed repair was my entrance door which was not
latching properly.  I expected a new latch or striker plate.  Instead Tom
realized that the door was slightly out of shape.  He removed the inner skin
and then reinstalled it to provide the proper curvature.  No more door
problems.  I have a good friend who has been using Tom for the last 15 or 20
years and is totally satisfied.

  You will get a computer gernerated itemized bill that will literally show
the cost of
every part right down to the number of lock washers used.  The last time I
was there his labor rate was $50 per hour.  At first I thought that was a
lot of money until I stopped to figure out what I get paid for sitting in a
soft chair all day.

As you indicated in your posting Tom is not too busy to talk with you on the
phone, or in person for that matter.  He does not have any help at his shop
so you can be sure that the work is all his.  Actually his wife, Darla,
would probably take exception with my "no help" statement.  She runs the
office and is a jewel.  Speaking of "talk" drop me an e-mail if you come to
OKC I'd love to have a chance to visit.
