I read where a old timer took  #4 cable and ran these cables from his pickup 
battery to the trailer and used a connecter from an electric hi-low (between 
the truck and the trailer).Voltage drop to the house batteries were a non 
question in the trailer he used an inverter to power his refer on the go 
.... with the proper size alt. i think this would work ok. he said that he 
used this system for years without a
problem. i read the article aboout 8-10 years ago and thought that
i would like to try this when i get my unit......
