RE: [A/S] Re: RV Campgrounds/Airstream insurance
Just my 2 cents, I have shopped a lot for insurance. Never found a company
better or more cooperative then Cincinnati Insurance. Our family has been
with them since I can remember (better than 30 years now). In my teens, I
wrecked my dads car more than once, never heard much from them. I have had
insurance sales man stop mid sentence and tell me to keep Cincinnati as soon
as I mentioned the name.
When I was a young Paramedic, I used to do medic exams for insurance
companies (just questionnaires and B/P checks, that kind of thing). With
that job, I also did questionnaires for auto insurance policy holders. I
can not tell you how many times I had people irate at me because the current
company they had was all of a sudden doing a reevaluation on them (I'll
leave the names off, but it is the big 2 or 3 that say they care the most).
When I would sit and listen (hey I had nothing to do with it), they would
explain that they had been with one of these big guys for many years, then
they got a simple speeding ticket (not even an accident), and all of a
sudden, the company was sending out some guy to ask all kinds of questions
about personal history. Very pissed people.
I also had lots of encounters with folks that had been dropped because of
one accident. Now, admittedly, this was a one side story, but when you are
interview a nice little lady in her 60's, perfectly capable of driving, and
she is pissed, I tend to think I know who to believe. Anyway, based on my
experience with that I would not take free insurance from the 2 or 3 big,
national companies.
Ahh, I feel better now {:)
