And it's cold and rainy (and was snowy!) here in San Francisco bay area.  I 
just rec'd our PG&E bill and gas was $170. plus this past month so I am 
leaving off the furnace.  Californians were sold on the idea that gas was 
much cheaper than electricity back in the good old days so we mostly have gas 
furnaces and clothes driers.

But just think we could go sit in our Bambi and use the furnace for a toasty 
environ. in about 10 minutes.     -Norma
