We tried to mount a customer's older set of McKesh's on a new Suburban.
The upper clip interfered with the outer window seal. It was difficult to
get a stable mount without damaging the seal. The customer eventually
gave up on using them.

Along a similar line, I'm not real crazy about any door mounted mirror.
Yeah, I know just about all of them are these days. I got spoiled back in
the 70's with fender mounted mirrors. Think about it. What ever takes
your eyes off the road ahead is a not good thing. The further forward the
mirrors the easier it is to check them without looking away from the road
ahead. The old fender mounts put mirrors way out in front of the driver.
Door mirrors in many applications require the driver to look away, and in
some cases move his/her head in addition. Mumble, mumble, mumble
