The Scrader system is one where the tire pressure is measured at the
valve.  The SmarTire system uses a pressure/temperature monitor mounted
at the center of the wheel.

The SmarTire system is a little more sophisticated, hence a little more
expensive.

Tire temp is good to know, especially here in the Southwest where road
surface temps can get over 130 degrees.
