Re: [A/S] A question from a wannabee
Leslie,
I don't know anything about the cost, but there is a trucking company
company in Paterson, NJ that specializes in moving automobiles. They
trade as "Horseless Carriage Carriers". From what little I've seen, all
their trailers are enclosed, so they may be pricey. If an outside
flatbead will suffice, I'd check at a nearby truck stop, and see if
there are any advertisers on their bulletin board looking for a load.
Some (bigger chains) even have a computerized service to match carrier
and load.
RJ and Krista dial, on this list, had their unit trucked from
Indianapolis, to California at a cost of $1100 for the 1200 mile trip.
See their web site at www.vintageairstream.com for more (a lot more,
it's a treasure trove!) information.
Where in the east coast area is the rig. We are in northern New Jersey,
and if a Mark I Eyeball is required, perhaps we can help out.
