Re: [A/S] Newbie - need opinions on size

Will reccomended a 20 to 21' so I'll bop in here about the 19' Bambi. We
were planning on buying a Casita trailer until we actually saw one in the
flesh'. I'm afraid I felt a bit claustrophobic in it. My hsb and I are large
which makes some difference,.of course. Anyway, after seeing the Casita the
19' Bambi A/S seemed really spacious. Tom (6'5") can actually take a shower
in it. It doesn't have a whole lot of storage space and it probably isn't
suitable for a really protracted trip. I do love it, tho and are happy that
we got it.

The retired couple who showed us their Casita take frequent weekend trips
with one of the Good Sam chapters and it certainly seemed very convenient for
just 'hooking up and going'.

I believe I would advise someone to think long and hard about buying a
trailer of any size before really figuring out just how you want to use it.
Tom Patterson, of this group, has a very nice website that has archives of
the posts from this group. (try www.tompatterson.com). Other posters also hav
e websites and you can have a lot of fun just researching trailers and other
RVs

If I had my druthers (and the money) I would have a Casita (or, better yet, a
completely restored vintage 16' A/S) for local weekend use, our Bambi for
week or two trips, a B-van (preferably the A/S B-van), a large A/S with
semi-tractor for cross-country. Oh, well - I can dream, can't I?!

Have fun - good luck,
Norma
